In the historic centre of Medemblik you'll find bakery museum “De oude bakkerij” (The old bakery). The scent of freshly baked Dutch cake makes you taste the old days. Bakers demonstrate all aspects of their craft, and children can practise old baking techniques throughout the day. Delightful nostalgia for adults, and a feast of delicacies for children!

Demonstrations
There are daily cake, marzipan, chocolate and other demonstrations, often using techniques that have disappeared from the rest of the country and can now only be seen here. A visit is truly mouth- watering, and it can't be a great surprise that we've proudly had the title of ‘tastiest museum in The Netherlands’ for thirty years! You'll be most welcome…
