Until what time is IJswinkel open?

During the low season, IJswinkel is open daily from 14.00 - 19.00. In the holidays they are open daily, from 12.00 - 21.00. Opening times can vary depending on weather conditions.

Until what time is Kippaleis open?

Kippaleis is open on Saturdays and Sundays from 15.00 to 19.00, during the whole season, and during the holidays daily from 15.00 - 19.00. Exact opening times can vary as a result of weather conditions.

Until what time is camping shop Zeldenrust open?

During the low season, Zeldenrust is open between 9.00 and 10.00 and 15.00 and 18.00 on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Opening times on Tuesdays and Thursdays are between 9.00 - 10.00 and 17.00-18.00. On Saturdays it is open from 9.00 to 19.00, and on Sundays between 9.00 and 18.00. During the holidays the camping shop is open daily from 9.00 to 19.00. Opening times may vary due to weather conditions.

Until what time is the Fish Restaurant open?

In the low season the fish restaurant is open on Fridays from 17.00 to 20.00, and from 12.00 to 20.00 on Saturdays and Sundays. During the holidays it is open daily between 12.00 and 20.00. Opening times may vary depending on weather conditions.

Until what time is the Spar supermarket open?

SPAR is open from 9.00 during the entire season, and from 8.30 during the regional summer holidays. Closing times vary; the most important factor being the weather. Please check the updated closing times on the door of the SPAR or on the Facebook page: Spar Camping Bakkum

Until what time is the pizzeria open?

The pizzeria is closed on Mondays and Tuesdays during the low season. In school holidays the pizzeria is open daily from 9.00. Opening times can vary however, according to weather conditions. Updated times can be found on the door of the pizzeria.

When are the washrooms open?

In the early and the late season the outside washrooms are always open. During the high season all washrooms are open 24 hours per day.

When is the Children's Farm open?

For opening times of the children's farm please check at Reception, or the information board at the children's farm.

Can I use WiFi indoors anywhere?

In the Internet house behind Reception you can access the Internet with your own device. There is also a small desk. The opening times of the Internet house are the same as those of Reception.

Is there WiFi?

In and around Reception, at the meeting square and the playing field there is free WiFi. Tourist campers and guests staying in rental accommodation can get WiFi on their pitch. There is no WiFi on season pitches.

Are there washrooms?

The campsite has 10 heated washrooms spaced in the grounds. These contain baby rooms, disabled rooms, family showers, and toilets. You'll also find chemical toilet disposal facilities there.

Can I charge my car?

There are charging points for electric cars on the campsite. These are located in car park P2. We request you move your car as soon as it is charged, to give other guests the opportunity to charge their car too. 

Can I do fitness?

Use for the gym is for free! Camping Bakkum has its own gym, entirely renewed and with the latest sports equipment. After a run through the beautiful woods around the campsite you can train your summer body here. You'll need to get a key from Reception.

Can I do my laundry and get it dry?

There is a laundrette in the meeting square. You can both wash and dry here. Reception has operating coins for sale. The dryer runs on a €2. There are also several large washing machines that work on money coins. They use € 7.50 per wash. Opening times of the Laundrette are the same as those of Reception.

Can I leave my motorbike, scooter or moped somewhere?

There is accommodation for motorbikes, scooters and mopeds by Reception. These vehicles are not permitted on the campsite.

Can I play boules?

There is a boules court on the playing field.

Can I play football?

The sports field has a football field for a great game or a kick around.

Can I play tennis?

Camping Bakkum has two tennis courts. You'll find these on the playing field, in the middle of the campsite. You need to reserve it beforehand. It costs €10 per hour. If you want a bag with 4 rackets and tennis balls, you pay 5 euros extra for this.

Can I rent a bicycle on the campsite?

Camping shop Zeldenrust also has bicycles for rent, including ladies' bicycles, children's bikes, tandems, go-karts and e-bikes. For more information, please see: https://www.kampeerwinkelzeldenrust.nl/

Can I take water from the water tap points?

There are various (PWN) water taps on the campsite. You can take drinking water from these for free.

Can we play basketball?

There is a basketball court on the playing field.

Have you got walking and/or cycling route descriptions?

There are several beautiful walking and cycling routes around the campsite. You can find these by following the route signs. Reception has walking and cycling route maps available. Venturing into the dunes? Don't forget to take your dune pass. You received this from Reception on arrival.

How much does it cost to park?

Visitors can park on P2 for € 1 per hour, to a maximum of €5.80 per day. Are you staying beyond midnight? Then you can buy a visitor car park pass at Reception.

Is there a children's farm?

The campsite has its own children's farm: 't Boetje. Here children can hug rabbits, pet goats and alpacas, feed the hens and much more. The opening times can be found at Reception or on the information board at the children's farm.

Is there a children's playground?

There are several children's playgrounds, scattered over the campsite. You can find their location on the map.

Is there a fitness trail?

There is a fitness trail on the camping, especially for our sporty guests. You'll get to see a large part of the campsite, and stay really fit! You can ask for the route at Reception or find it here.

What is the meeting square?

"Our campsite has a Meeting Square. This square is intended for people to get together, on a terrace or enjoying an ice cream. It's the holidays after all! The Meeting Square offers the following shops: Spar supermarket, pizzeria 'Op de Hoek', fish monger 'Vis & Meer', Kippaleis (Chicken Palace), IJswinkel (ice cream parlour) and camping shop Zeldenrust. There is even a space reserved for a bonfire!"

Where are the disabled toilets / shower rooms?

There are three official, closed disabled washrooms, at Zeester, Duinkonijn and Eekhoorn. You can get a key at Reception for a deposit of €10.

Why is the door to some disabled washrooms open? That is surely not right?

At the other washrooms the disabled facilities is combined with the family showers. That is why these doors are not locked.
