Getting lost within nature... By foot or bicycle?
Make sure you'll go on a walking trip or bike tour through the beautiful nature reserve around Camping Bakkum. Do you prefer a short walk, scenic bicycle route or fancy an adventurous excursion? We can tell you all about activities and routes in this region at the reception. Here we also sell hiking and biking maps. You may rent various types of bicycles at Camping Shop Zeldenrust! Make sure you have a dune card when entering the nature reserve.
Guests of Camping Bakkum get this dune card via e-mail upon their arrival date. Visitors may buy a ticket online or at a PWN vending machine.
The dune area is a paradise for birds, foxes and deer. There even are Scottish Highlander cattle and wild Konik horses...
North Holland Dune Reserve
From Camping Bakkum you can walk straight into the North Holland Dune Reserve. This is one of the largest nature reserves in our country. It stretches from the coast of Wijk aan Zee to the Dunes of Schoorl. PWN purifies the drinking water via the reserve and these dunes also protect us from the sea. Want to know more? Near the coastline
A day at the beach is an adventure for everyone! Make a true experience of the trip there and go on foot or by bike through the dunes. Camping Bakkum is only 950 meters away from the coast. On the beach you're able to enjoy the sun, sand and sea. Go swimming or rent a sup, take surfing lessons or learn how to kite. Afterwards you may enjoy a drink or have dinner at one of the nice beach bars.
